Choosing a carat weight
Most of these oval pendants offer 1 to 6 carats total weight, and some start at half a carat. That number adds up all the stones, so at 2 ct tw a halo pendant carries a smaller oval than a lone solitaire does. If the oval itself is the point, lean toward the plainer settings.
Gold or silver
Gold designs come in 10K or 14K, in white, yellow or rose. Every design is also offered in Silvadium, a sterling silver that resists tarnish, which brings the same oval lab-grown diamond pendant in at a gentler price. White metals sharpen the halo; yellow and rose warm it up.
