Where a promise ring is worn
Plenty of couples start a promise ring on the left fourth finger, then shift it across once an engagement ring arrives. Others keep it on the right hand from the start. A band style works on either hand and later stacks beside an engagement ring.
Half eternity, pavé or channel
- Half eternity: a single line of lab-grown diamonds across the top, simple and bright.
- Pavé rows and stations: several rows of small stones, or pavé broken up by bezel stations, for a textured look.
- Channel set: stones held flush between gold walls, the smoothest feel on the finger.
Choosing the gold color
Yellow gold looks warm and classic, rose gold blushes faintly pink, and white gold lends the stones a bright, icy setting. If the ring may one day stack with another, pick the color you would want next to it.
Wearing a band every day
Promise rings are often worn without a break, so take yours off for sports, cleaning products and heavy lifting. Rinse it in mild suds, brush lightly around the stones and book a yearly prong inspection with any jeweler.

You can return it within 30 days (a 10% restocking fee applies to resized or engraved pieces), and your first resize within 60 days of delivery is free.
Should I insure my engagement ring?
We recommend it. Every ring ships fully insured; once it is yours, a separate jewelry insurance policy covers loss, theft and accidental damage.
